Ebony
Happily Adopted!
Ebony is doing great! She must have been traumatized by being abandoned and ending up in a shelter. She is so awesome and smart and I'm so happy to report that she does know commands - sit, down, stay, and come! We walk everyday and she heels beautifully. She is a special little dog and we are so happy she joined our family. Thank you for all of your help, and for all of the good work you do! ~Kim & Dan

Happily Adopted!
My name is Ashley and I was rescued by some awesome people in Alabama. They took such great care of me and sent me for surgery on my hip and to my forever home with a family in Connecticut. My new mom was so worried about my hip dysplasia that she takes me to physical therapy and I do some fun stuff. My mom really appreciates all the work everyone did at Sunshine to get grant money for me to keep going for therapy. We know how expensive it is - and just wanted to send puppy kisses and hugs from my mom too. You can't imagine how great it is to have my own family. My mom takes me and my sister "Princess"(also a rescue) everywhere she goes. This is great because I love car rides and although I am not comfortable swimming yet I'm sure to love it when my mom will go in with me. My other brother (Blizzy) left our family suddenly (my mom cried for a few days) but he is in heaven now. We all miss him. Yesterday mom took me to a class so that I will learn a few manners and not be so shy when I meet other dogs. We did pretty good and the nice lady instructor said we did well. It was fun and I got lots of treats. Shhh, it's really my mom and dad who need training and I made sure my mom got a cookie too.
I just wanted to tell you how happy i am and how my family loves me. I can sleep easy now and been having good dreams too. Please tell everyone that my new family loves me and I owe my life to all your kindness and care.
Much love,
Ashley and my mom & dad - Cathy & Jim.

Bragi & Jaeger
It was both a sad and happy week for our bonded NTI senior Goldens, Bragi and Jaeger. We were heartbroken when Bonded Brother Bragi became ill just two days after arriving at the vet clinic in MA and we lost him to a splenetic tumor. He touched so many hearts in those two days and we are so saddened by his loss.
Jaeger stayed at the vet clinic in Scituate, MA, where he was spoiled and kept busy greeting people and dogs, to ease the loss of his life-long buddy. Then Linda and Dick entered his life, falling in love with him the minute they met him and he is now happily adopted! From Dr. Hopey: Buckles is off to New Hampshire. Ed and Linda are awesome. Buckles jumped right in the car with his favorite toy in his mouth to start his new adventure.
After going through a very difficult time, we believe each of these wonderful Goldens is where he now belongs — Bragi in heaven with his human Mom, and Buckles with his new family where he will always have someone with him. Many thanks to all who helped this sweet bonded pair.

Merlin
Happily Adopted! Merlin is settling in and seems happy. We are so very happy!!!! We are keeping Merlin's name but with a twist: his name will be Merlin 2 Sunshine Frattaroli. We will call him Sunny. We are doing that to honor the dog that Merlin was named for and to honor SGRR for all the great work that your organization & volunteers do. Everyone has been just so helpful from the beginning of our adoption journey to today with meeting Merlin and taking him home! Thank you all for making this such a wonderful experience. We are so very happy and look forward to a wonderful life with Sunny. ~Frattaroli family |
Lindsey
Happily Adopted!
She was almost perfect in the puppy social. She's still a little shy, but did got along wonderfully with several puppies and with an adult dog. Buddha has changed from "get away" to "mildly interested," while Lindsay is picking up on his signals and reacting appropriately. She is already fitting in as part of the family! ~Goebelbecker family |
