Make a difference in the life of a Golden...

Join our dedicated group of volunteers and be part of the team that helps our dogs-in-need find their forever homes.  Sunshine needs people to screen adoption applicants, check references, assist at fundraising events, meet our transports, help with clerical and administrative tasks.  You can also help by FOSTERING a dog.  Fostering gives the dog a safe and loving place to stay while he waits for his forever home. 

However you choose to help, you will be part of a volunteer community that works together to find permanent loving homes for our dogs, many of whom will feel safe and cherished for the first time in their lives.

Please note:  Sunshine does not have a dedicated building in which we house our dogs.  We rely on a network of fosters throughout the Northeast to keep our dogs until they are ready to go “home”.  If you are looking for specific hands-on work with dogs, please volunteer at your local shelter or Humane Society.
