Lucy
This lovely lady is as pretty as a picture and has a smile that lights up a room. Lucy wandered onto the property of a dog-lover in Louisiana. When she was unable to locate the owner, she reached out and Lucy is now a Sunshine dog!
Lucy's foster mom shared, "Lucy is such a love bug and just wants to be next to you. She is a quick learner, picking up basic commands easily. She is good with other dogs, love all people, tall & small. She is housebroken and walks well on a leash.” Lucy will do best with an active adopter or family who has the time to continue her training and give her lots of attention. She would also love a dog sibling, if that was a possibility, but cats would be too much of a distraction for her. She enjoys children and would be a nice family dog.
If you looked up the word "happiness" in the dictionary, there might be a picture of Lucy next to the definition. Just look at that smile on her face!! And when Lucy gets to her forever home, she will be grinning far and wide! Super pretty and super sweet - she's the perfect package of fun and good looks! Lucy is ready to join her humans and be at their side. All she needs is her heart person to come along and make her life complete. In turn, Lucy promises to be your best friend forever and ever!
Lucy is thought to be a Golden mix of about 1-1 ½ years of age. At 57 lbs, Lucy needs to gain some weight and should likely be about 63 lbs as good weight. Lucy has been spayed, micro-chipped, vaccinated, and is heartworm negative. She has been given a Proheart 6 injection that provides 6 months of heartworm prevention. Lucy is currently being fostered in New England and is ready to find her forever home now! Please contact Cheryl to be considered to adopt Lucy. Rescued dogs come with a range of needs - from behavioral to emotional to medical. When approved applicants adopt such dogs, they agree to continue the rehabilitation we have begun.
