Rachel - Adoption Pending!

Rachel is one of our sweet retired Mississippi breeder girls who was rescued from neglectful conditions. She is being fostered by our wonderful fosters, Cheryl & Paul, along with Bubbles whom Rachel seems to look to for security. Rachel is good with other dogs and would do best in a home with a confident canine companion. We would love to see Rachel and Bubbles adopted as a pair!
The girls' foster mom shared, "The girls so far are housebroken. When they first go out, they make sneezing noises then in a few minutes they drop and roll, especially Rachel as you can see in this video, with Bubbles standing nearby. Rachel likes to find hiddy spots and goes in the crate to sleep with the door open. She has been fine being left alone without a crate but confined to our Florida room." Since going to her foster home, Rachel has learned that snuggling with her humans is now her favorite thing to do!
Estimated to be about 5 years old, this sweetie weighs about 65 lbs. Rachel is up-to-date on vaccinations and is now spayed She is micro-chipped, heartworm negative, and has been given a Proheart 6 injection that provides 6 months of heartworm prevention.
If you are approved to adopt through SGRR, have a quiet home, and your specialty is TLC, please contact Donna to be considered to become Rachel's new best friend. If not yet approved, please fill out an application. Rachel will be arriving in the northeast in late May. It is now Rachels's time to know what it is to be a cherished companion! We would love to see Rachel and Bubbles adopted as a pair!
Rescued dogs come with a range of needs - from behavioral to emotional to medical. When approved applicants adopt such dogs, they agree to continue the rehabilitation we have begun.
