Rose - Adoption Pending!

Rose is the oldest of the seven Mississippi Breeder dogs who came to Sunshine after spending years making puppies and living in neglectful conditions. At about 8 years old and 65 lbs, she is a beauty, and her personality is classic Golden Retriever.
Rose is very social and loves being petted and getting attention. She smiles often and looks straight at you with her big brown eyes. Rose gets along with all the dogs she has met, walks nicely on a leash (something that is new to her), and loves humans. She also likes to have her picture taken, smiling into the camera!
Rose has been staying at a foster home and settled in quickly. Her foster Mom tells us, "Rose is very affectionate, loves her dog bed, is pretty good on a leash and is a good eater. In fact, she is a counter surfer and toilet paper tearer upper!" Rose so wants to please and will quickly improve her house manners. She just needs a little time, patience, and a sense of humor. She is so beautiful, she will steal your heart. You can see what a nice girl she is in her video.
We were thrilled that Rose tested heartworm negative. She is now spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She received a Proheart 6 injection for heartworm prevention so she will not need any additional HW preventatives for 6 months.
Rose is ready to become an important part of someone's life. If you would like to give Rose the Golden life she should know, please contact Candy to be considered. If not yet approved, please fill out an application to be considered.
Rescued dogs come with a range of needs - from behavioral to emotional to medical. When you adopt such dogs, you are agreeing to become part of their life's journey and to continue the rehabilitation we have begun.
