Teddie - Adoption Pending!

Meet lovable Teddie, an approximately 1.5 year old Yellow Lab mix who is full of love and happiness. Teddie wandered up to the home of a dog-lover and, try as she might to find his owners, no one came forward to claim Teddie. He has now traveled to the Northeast and is living with a wonderful foster family, getting lots of love while he awaits his forever home.
Teddie is a friendly fellow who loves all humans, both young and older. Teddie enjoys playing with other dogs and would do well with a young canine companion to romp with. Check out how Teddie plays so nicely with his canine buddy in this video! He is a bit of a goofball and will keep you laughing for hours!
Teddie's foster mom shared, "Teddie loves everyone...and I mean everyone; he even stops and wags his tail when cars drive by when I’m walking him. He truly thinks everyone is his friend. He loves other dogs and loves to eat. In fact, when it’s time to eat he runs to his bowl."
"Teddie is extremely happy to see you when you come home, even if you’ve only been gone 5 minutes. He sits at the window and watches us when we leave. Then when he hears the car, he’s back at the window then runs to the door to greet us. He’s so excited to see us when we get up in the morning too."
"Teddie loves playing catch with tennis balls and other toys too. He will even bring you a toy when he wants to play. He would be great for someone that enjoys long walks and he’s gotten so much better walking now. He loves the car and is very good in it but also loves jumping out so I keep him tethered when riding in the car. We ran into 2 dogs that were off leash when we were walking and he did great when they approached him! He even did well when meeting my daughter's cat! Teddie sleeps through the night and goes to the door to let you know he wants to go out. He is a smart boy, knowing many basic commands. He is looking for an active family to take him on new adventures and who will continue to help him become the best boy ever!"
Teddie, who weighs about 65 lbs, is heartworm negative, has been neutered, brought up-to-date on vaccinations, and is micro-chipped. He received a Proheart 6 injection so he will not need any additional heartworm preventative for 6 months. If you are ready for lots of love and devotion, Teddie is your boy! If you are approved to adopt through SGRR, are home most of the day, have an active life-style, and a sense of humor, please contact Cheryl to be considered to adopt this wonderful boy. If you are not yet approved, visit our website to fill out an application! Before you go, here is another video of Teddie!
Rescued dogs come with a range of needs - from behavioral to emotional to medical. When approved applicants adopt such dogs, they agree to take on whatever comes with the dog. It is up to YOU to continue the rehabilitation we have begun. This is what it means to rescue.
