This is Henry FKA Ralphie who ended up as a stray at the Mobile County Animal Shelter, and although no one came to claim Henry he has a wonderful new home with Colleen, Dennis, their family and Boba FKA SGRR Nova!
Henry has did not have an easy early life, he is undergoing heartworm treatment. When they did x-rays they found multiple buckshots and bb's embedded into his tissue. There are too many and too deep, although he seems unaffected by them. Colleen says it gives her insight into his previous life as a stray. When they first got him he was toy and food possessive, but now she would say he is much better with training and those behaviors are almost completely eliminated, and he is very responsive to training. Henry is great with Boba and their cats. Henry and Boba are almost always together. When she took Henry to the vet Boba laid by the backdoor until they get home. Boba is a very laid back dog and very calming for Henry. Colleen cannot get over how smart Henry is. He is very quick on learning commands and very easy to train. He is a pro on their walks and hikes. He safely learned all the safety rules that Colleen trained him on safe leash walking! They are keeping him quiet now with chew toys until he can go on runs with them! These two are just adorable! Henry deserves the best loving home and we think he has found it!
